Quick checklist
- Measure the piece at its widest points
- Measure every doorway, turn, and stair landing
- Remove contents and personal property
- Share parking, elevator, and loading details
Identify the tabletop material
Solid wood, stone, and glass behave differently. Note approximate dimensions, thickness, visible seams, leaves, and the base style. Do not assume a pedestal or trestle separates without checking the construction.
Describe detachable parts
Count chairs, leaves, legs, bases, glass inserts, shelves, and hardware. Photograph fasteners if accessible. Keep removed hardware labeled and contained, and avoid hazardous disassembly when the piece is unstable or the method is unknown.
Protect the route, not only the table
Clear rugs and decor, identify floor transitions, measure door openings, and note the best exterior exit. Tell the provider about stairs, narrow turns, slopes, and distance to the loading point so the estimate reflects the actual job.
Before you schedule
Send or describe the item list and route details, then confirm scope, price, timing, and exclusions directly. For this pickup type, see Dining Furniture Removal or prepare your estimate notes.
